Privacy policy
Last updated October 2026.
Who we are
Dubtape operates this website and is responsible for the personal information it collects through it. For privacy questions, access or correction requests, or complaints, use our contact form and state that your message concerns privacy.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may collect and hold:
- contact details, including your name, email address, phone number, club or organisation;
- delivery and order details, including delivery address, products, quantities, order number and payment status;
- account details, including a password hash and marketing preferences;
- the content of contact and club-pricing enquiries;
- technical information such as session identifiers, IP address, browser type and standard web-server logs.
We collect this information directly from you when you place an order, create an account, subscribe or complete a form. We do not knowingly collect sensitive information.
Why we use it
We use personal information to provide accounts, process and deliver orders, issue order communications, answer enquiries, prepare club pricing, prevent misuse of the site, comply with legal obligations and improve our service. We use your email for marketing only when you choose to receive it. You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing message.
We do not sell or rent personal information.
Payments, disclosure and overseas processing
Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details are entered into Stripe’s payment form and are not stored in Dubtape’s website database. We may disclose the information needed to process payment to Stripe, to deliver an order to the relevant courier, and to service providers that operate the website and email services. We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law.
Stripe and its service providers may process personal information outside Australia, including in the United States and other jurisdictions. We will update this policy if other overseas disclosures become likely.
Cookies and security
We use an essential session cookie to keep your cart, sign-in state and security controls working. It is removed when the browser session ends. Stripe may use its own technologies while processing payment.
We use HTTPS, access controls, password hashing, CSRF protections and secure session-cookie settings to help protect information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, to resolve disputes, and to meet legal, tax and record-keeping obligations. When it is no longer needed, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
Access and correction
You can ask for access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you through our contact form. Tell us enough to identify the relevant record. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We aim to respond within 30 days and do not charge for making a request.
Privacy complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, submit a written complaint through our contact form. Include the details of the issue and the outcome you seek. We will acknowledge it, investigate it and aim to respond within 30 days. If you are dissatisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our information-handling practices change. The updated version will be published on this page.
